Alright, so you’re thinking about commissioning me (excellent choice btw but you have some questions. Well hopefully this FAQ can answer a good amount of them. So read on
— How to get in contact with me —
The actual commission info and prices
Depending on what it is and how busy I am, a few weeks to a month. That’s just a general idea.
- Do you send updates and pictures?
No Mechs, crazy armor, disturbing or hateful things. Not sure? Feel free to ask.
- Will you post the figure online?
Yes. I will post all finished works on my different sites, unless you really don’t want me to.
- Why is everything so expensive?
I pride myself on quality work. That takes a lot of time and effort. When I charge less, I honestly feel that I’m doing myself a disservice.
- Do I have to pay right away?
I generally do half to start and half when finished. You can pay all at once too that’s fine. You can even stretch the payments along if that helps you out, but I do need some payment to start.
- I’m not gonna pay you the rest I owe you.
That’s fine. I’m keeping the figure and the payment I have so far. No refunds. (Note- I’ve never had this happen but you can never be too careful.)
I ship to the US with tracking and (if the commission is expensive). insurance. I’ll choose whatever method is the cheapest to try to save you money. Assume it’s between $3-11
I do ship internationally. I do a round figure of $15 for figures and $7 for jewelry, with no tracking and the cheapest method possible. International buyers be aware that I am not responsible for lost packages and you agree to those terms if you commission me.
I accept PayPal, Money Orders, even concealed cash (but I don’t suggest that one)
Yes. I need visual references. A ref sheet is ideal with a description of your character.
Then put together a makeshift ref sheet with images you Googled to depict what your character should look like (Like shoes, clothes, hair, ect pose.)
I’ll need a pose (pics are ideal), an expression, even a story behind the figure is helpful. I’ll also need you to tell me what kind of simple base you’d like them on (Grass, stone, tile, plain wooden.)
- What if I don’t want a simple base
That’s fine, but it costs extra
The more complicated the more expensive. (That includes- wings, large flowing capes, large tails, tiny intricate details, weapons/accessories, crazy poses, etc. If you’re unsure, feel free to ask.)
I can make necklaces, earrings or even charms (The paint will wear down considerably faster for charms though)
I make them out of sculpey. Unless it’s something that I plan on making more of (I won’t do that for your original creations, but if it’s a fanart of some sort I might) and cast it in resin.
- Can you sculpt a 3 foot Yoshi?
Only if you’re willing to pay me ridiculous amounts of money.
- Can I negotiate your prices down?
Nope. Also it’s a little rude.
- Do you do wedding toppers?
Sure why not, it’s just figures that go on a cake.
Send me a Note on Deviantart, Etsy or my email- email@example.com and we can go from there.
