Hi! I was wondering if you have any tips for sculpting a nice looking head shape. I lack in artistic skills unfortunately, but especially with heads. Even if its normal human heads to anime heads, they're not exactly in my best drawn zone, so I was wondering if you could provide any tips that could help me? If not don't worry! :)

Oh god, I struggle with that too. What I do is study faces (generally mine since it's always there.) I try to understand the angles and planes it makes. I try to really simplify the angles of a face and once I have that down work on getting more and more complex. Also practice, like all the time.

This is also something that helped me- www.facebook.com/TKMillerSculp…

I hope that helped at all :XD:

I guess as well I can try and study face angles and all of that, I hope I can improve my skillzzzzzz~ Thanks!

A local or major craft store should carry it. If not, you can always buy it online =)

First you're not bothering me. I enjoy talking about all things sculpting so, if you have any questions feel free to ask them =)

Yes you can mix them. Sculpey and Super Sculpey have the same texture and softness. I prefer Super Sculpey because I personally think it is a bit better quality that regular Sculpey, but that could just be me. The other reason I mix them is because the grey color makes it easier to see what you sculpting.

And Oh I see now...Also do you think I could do this with just aluminum foil and clay? I don't have any wire and Hobby lobby only has the wire to hang up pictures
Pffft,typical.

You can try but I wouldn't suggest it. The wire armature helps with anatomy and it also keeps everything together if there is any breakage. Any craft stores that sell jewelry supplies should also carry craft wire for a few bucks.

I buy mine at Joann fabrics. I think any major craft store should carry it.
